E.H. Taylor Night

For this tasting we will be sampling a few expressions of the E.H. Taylor brand, produced by Buffalo Trace in Frankfort, KY.  We will be tasting the Small Batch, Single Barrel, Straight Rye, and the Barrel Proof, this particular batch weighing in at 129 proof.

How the night will go:

Doors open at 8:00 when we invite guests to arrive for a cocktail hour before the official tasting begins.  Our humble bartender, Andrew Stack, will be offering his menu of classic and not-so-classic bourbon and rye cocktails.  It is highly recommended to only have one drink before the tasting--we want to keep our palates in good shape.

At 9:00 we will begin with a blind tasting where guests will have the opportunity to make notes (materials will be provided) and even guess which one they think they are tasting.  Remember this is about having fun, so go nuts on your tasting notes--whatever you smell and taste is there.  We will then reveal the whiskeys, present them, and do a second tasting where guests will be encouraged to discuss their findings, travel from one glass to another to compare the differences, but most importantly, have fun.  A plate of complimenting snacks will be provided, some sweet, some tart, some savory palate cleansers.  Ever had a piece of dark chocolate and then had a sip of bourbon?  You will. And it doesn't get much better.

After the tasting, the party continues.  Andrew is back on the bar, plus we have decided to open up our entire (well, most of it anyway) whiskey collection for guests to order pours of if they so choose. 

We are super excited to share our whiskey with you in this format and look forward to hosting you dear friends.

Due to the extremely limited quantity of some of these bottles, only 25 tickets will be sold.  As an invitee you may purchase one additional ticket for a guest.  We highly recommend taking an über to and from, as you will most definitely be feeling good by the end of the night. However street parking is available.
